While visiting my son and his wife in San Diego, he took me to Wongs. The food was great, the staff was friendly and accommodating even though we arrived near closing time. Our service was fast, we sat in a little room between the restaurant and bar area that had a koi pond. Would definitely recommend, for budget friendly dining.

HANDS DOWN!! This is the best chinese food on the west coast. (BONUS: It is also the closest we have ever found to the chinese food we grew up eating on Boston's North Shore and in Fall River on the Southernmost Coast of MA.) JUST PICK ANYTHING on the menu. Seriously!! Between the four of us each ordering something new and different and sharing it all with the rest every time we come here? NOT ONE OF US YET hasn't absolutely loved EVERY SINGLE THING we have tried. We're just working our way down thru the menu now -- start to finish!!

OUR HISTORY
Wong's Golden Palace has been a landmark in La Mesa (San Diego County) since 1966. Family owned and operated. We are proud to be the longest standing Chinese restaurant in San Diego County with the same owner and same location.
We serve fine Chinese Cuisine, from Cantonese, Mandarin and Sze Chuan style dishes. We feature tropical cocktail from the islands and a large selection of beer and wine, we also offer food to go, party trays and catering for all occasions. We pride ourselves in serving quality food and great friendly service.
